Web Coding – HTML & CSS

The first of three Web Coding publications tackles HTML and CSS from first principles, using only a basic text editor and browser. We get started quickly, adding inline styles to paragraphs on a page. Then, after learning a little about the limitations of this method, go on to create internal and external style sheets. A website is developed about the students’ chosen topic, with hyperlinks, images and a table of data. The task is open ended; once they have learned the skills, students can take this as far as they want.
