Python Graphics

Learn the basics of programming through the creation of a variety of graphics and games using only a free coding website.
Starting with some very simple, ordered instructions, students go on to use loops to create patterns and if statements to vary the colours. Inputted data is validated and used to generate polygons and other graphics. We introduce procedures, then go onto control the onscreen objects using the keyboard and mouse. This leads to bouncing balls and the building of a couple of basic games. We end up looking at mazes (using Excel to help design a maze) and build the algorithms required for a robot to escape by itself.
The pack contains nearly 100 design challenges of increasing difficulty, all accompanied by tested code and live solutions. The programming is entirely web based, allowing students to work at school, home or even on the bus. There are projects for the beginner as well as a multitude of extension tasks to challenge even the most capable of programmers.
